Full breakdown

When you feel things going in the wrong direction, it's hard for you to stay on the sidelines. An inner instinct tells you this is the moment to step in, or the situation will spiral out of control — and more often than not, that instinct turns out to be right.

This readiness to intervene protects the group, or the process, from consequences that could otherwise turn serious. You're not afraid to take the initiative when you see a threat, and that courage often saves the situation before it's too late.

The catch is that not every situation genuinely requires your intervention. Sometimes a process needs to run its own course, mistakes included, so people can learn from them directly. Telling a real need to intervene apart from a habit of controlling everything is an important skill to develop.
