The active pole eats one food per meal, pausing between items instead of mixing everything on the plate — and benefits from eating more often and moving more.
The more receptive pole isn't tied to a schedule: it eats when hunger shows up, and can return to a familiar food again and again after a pause — but does better with smaller portions and less physical strain. The rule for both poles is the same: avoid mixing foods and avoid anything that's already been processed on your behalf.
