Theme: Gate 37 carries a need for warm, mutually beneficial bonds — family, friendship, an honest exchange of care and support. Gate 40 sets the rhythm of that care: a period of giving needs to be followed by a period of solitude and recovery, or there's nothing left to give.

In life: people with this channel need to feel part of a warm, reciprocal circle — where people look after each other on equal terms. At the same time they need to regularly step out of that circle into solitude to recover their strength; trying to stay constantly 'available' and giving without pauses quickly leads to exhaustion and resentment that the giving isn't being appreciated.
