Juxtaposition takes this Cross to a real extreme. Provocation — 38/39 — disappears, replaced by Gates 54 and 53. Gate 54, the Marrying Maiden, is the gate of ambition; this Juxtaposition is about how these people carry out their ambition, their need to rise. Insisting on a leadership role, firmly and consistently, is how they satisfy that need to move upward. You can block their control, but you can never change their underlying drive to be recognized and to lead.

They take charge specifically to start something new. That's their real engine — a process of renewal that says, 'wait, this isn't about controlling what we already have. It's about starting something completely new, and I need to run it so the new thing actually succeeds.' In many ways, this Cross carries genuine renewal within it.
