The name says it all. Where the Right Angle Cross of Tension drew its tension from 39/38 (present at the unconscious level in an earlier variation), moving into Juxtaposition changes the unconscious configuration: Gate 53 brings a need for new beginnings, and Gate 54, the Marrying Maiden, brings ambition. Once ambition enters, motivation follows — this is depth as an asset, since Gate 54 exists to be recognized and noticed.

These people are here to be noticed for something — in this configuration, specifically for their depth. The bigger their circle, the greater their influence and the more they're recognized for it. But this can also narrow someone's world considerably, since they risk getting lost in their own depth and missing everything else life has to offer — and they'll be quite fixed on this as their defining theme.
