This fully comes into its own in the interpersonal second variation of Endeavor. There's a drive here to do something with real depth — remember the frustration gate 48 carries: 'I know how to solve the world's problems,' it says, 'but no one listens to me.' Being the Cross of Endeavor doesn't automatically mean these people actually do something — they want to, driven by a need to control it.

That becomes the core conflict. There are two kinds of people here: logical people who naturally seek logical energy, and logical people who, out of gate 48's frustration, chase any other kind of energy by any other means just to produce something — a rationality all its own: 'I can't depend on others. I have to find a way to manage this myself, start it myself.' This is a wonderful cross for self-publishing: 'no one will put out my answer to what humanity needs, so I'll take it into my own hands and publish it myself.'
