The fourth variation of Laws carries the longest and strangest reach of the whole cross. On its surface it's still the 3/60 mutation, but the teaching around it opens into something closer to cosmology: a field of neutrinos passing through everything, carrying information, slowly reprogramming the collective "Crystal of Design" that the species runs on. Even inside a story like this, though, the lesson circles back to something almost mundane — the reminder that even amid a great mutation, some of the old structures, the traditional laws, still have to be honored, because the body's own cellular hierarchy isn't ready to release them.

There's an old anecdote from Montreal about a law requiring horses to be tethered outside businesses, long after cars had replaced them — a rule that had become pointless in practice but that no one had gotten around to removing. This Sun carries exactly that tension: it can see the coming mutation clearly, on almost a neutrino-field level, and still has to live with the fact that we can't simply discard every old element from the past. Some structures have to be outgrown gradually, not abolished all at once.
