This is the second variation of Education, not the Cross of the Edge. This is one of the most important things we do — we were given a throat so we could talk to each other; that's precisely why. Yes, we can also make things, but people absolutely need to communicate — it's vital. The more genuine the communication, the less need there is for empty words, and the greater its value for the whole, because right now the only way we can act as a unity is on a fairly primitive level, still within the bounds of our own individual awareness.

Think about it: the Program holds all of us in extraordinary closeness, yet we live under the illusion of separateness — still shouting at each other across a crowded room, still reaching for one another through fairly primitive means. You can tell another person everything you can about yourself and still say nothing at all, because there's a bottomless well of unexpressed difference in each of us that can never fully be put into words.

Remember that the most astonishing moment in the coming Solar Plexus transformation will be emotionally aware beings finally able to exchange their awareness directly — that's the real difference, and we can barely imagine what it's like, still locked inside our own skulls, packed with things we can't fully access. My own profile is 5/1, and I remain a mystery even to myself, let alone to anyone else — I'll never get to dig all of that out; it isn't given to us. Education matters because it gives everyone a shared foundation for communicating with each other.

You feel this the moment you start learning a foreign language — you realize how limited you are, knowing maybe twenty-five words of it. It's a wonderful teacher, because it reminds you that the quality of your articulation, the size of your vocabulary, is the actual foundation of your intelligence — genuinely true, because if your means of expression are limited, you can't properly share what you think, even with someone eager to hear it.

What's beautiful about Human Design is that it comes with its own language, unifying how we see things — using shared terminology lets us arrive at a point together and know precisely what we're pointing at. Education plays a crucial role here: reminding everyone how much education matters, because the only way to heal this planet is to make sure everyone has access to it. Without that, we don't evolve, because our evolution is mental — it happens in the cortex, gathering information, even while we're still walking around in an old animal body.

Until the world has a shared educational foundation that lets everyone get what their mind actually needs, we won't be free — we won't be free of irritation, of pain from meaningless feelings. I keep insisting Human Design matters enormously for children, that it belongs in basic education, so we stop worrying about what kind of people are growing up and instead raise children who already know who they are. Education is an active, interpersonal force that recognizes: if you're stuck in a physical form, the only way beyond its limits is knowledge — the only way. In the old days, knowledge was power; now it's a right, not something reserved for the chosen or the wealthy.
