You're capable both of correcting others and of accepting that you, too, need correcting. It's a two-way process. Someone who only corrects wears themselves out. Someone who only accepts correction doesn't grow. You feel both poles.
What matters: this doesn't mean therapist and patient are fundamentally different. In some sense they carry the same nature — just from different sides. Accepting that makes you a better partner in any process of change.
