Concentration, though, doesn't guarantee an outcome. Staying devoted to a process is not the same as being owed a result from it, and confusing the two sets you up for a kind of faith that's really just disguised entitlement.
The real practice here is faith in the process itself, independent of outcome — and that's hardest to hold onto exactly when the process stops looking logical. That's the moment doubt creeps in and your grip on focus weakens.
