You know how to digest something new. A new idea, a new experience, a new point of view — you take them in and build them into your picture of the world. Not rejecting them, not swallowing them whole, but finding the place where they fit.

Assimilation is the ability to grow without losing your core. You expand your understanding without losing yourself. That's a rare balance — openness and steadiness at the same time. People who can't assimilate either shut out the new or get lost in it.
But sometimes it's worth noticing: not everything needs to be assimilated. Some ideas are worth rejecting outright, some experiences shouldn't be folded into who you are. Knowing what to take in and what to leave out is also part of the wisdom here.
